COMPUTER HORROR GAME (RESIDENT EVIL CREATOR DEVELOPING A NEW SURVIVAL HORROR GAME)

Many fans of the survival horror genre have lamented the fact that many of their favorite titles, Resident Evil and Silent Hill are no longer, you know… frightening. Resident Evil especially considering how far the franchise has moved to the action genre and away from survival horror. But the original Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami wants to do something about this; he is creating a new survival horror IP that will focus on what many people want, a true survival horror game that is frightening to play.
Not much about the game is known but here is the statement on the official website:
“Our latest project’s codename is “Zwei” and it is a survival horror game. The above image is a collage of different environments we put together for this announcement and is intended to give a feel for the tone and the direction the production is taking.
As a master of the ‘survival horror’ genre, Shinji Mikami is committed to making a game that is the realization of pure survival horror, an experience which he defines as one that pushes the limits of fear and exhilaration. He and his team at Tango are committed to attaining this vision.”

“I’ve found my focus and once again I’m striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on to see that the quality is there. Rest assured.”
Mikami is the director of Zwei at his new studio Tango Gameworks, and the game is being published by Bethesda. It is unknown at this time what systems the game is being developed for. However, I have to say that I am very excited to see a new survival horror game from Shinji Mikami, one of the legends who created the survival horror video game genre to begin with.
